Spring Grass Seeding and Special Plantings in the Veggie Garden
Thanks Doc.
I’ve used this for two applications now and both times it has spotted the grass? Any thoughts on if this isn’t made for TiffTuff Bermuda? Each time I’ve done the lower rate.
You know what they say, a farmers best work happens from dawn to dusk whereas politicians like their work to happen dusk to dawn... Love the ReoLink cameras you posted, looking forward to the ecoFlow battery setup!
Our chickens love scrambled eggs. They are really smart creatures actually. Ours are pretty well trained, have 20 hens, roosters are not for us. Great build on the coop and run btw. Interested in seeing your automated egg collection system when it’s time. Sweet PDZ is a great addition to your deep bedding method and don’t forget to add calcium to their diet. We use crushed oyster shells.
Isn't that cannibalism when you feed baby chicks eggs?
You didn't miss much with the Presidential debates. Two old men yelling at each other. Nice job on the chicken coop!
LIE fest
90° every day (Greenville SC) in June and my Zoysia is turning yellow in only certain spots while the other areas are emerald Green. It’s so odd.
Thanks Doc!
What camera is that on the deer feeders? I know you have shown some cameras before, just curious if that is one of those. Thanks Doc!
Got an inch and a half of rain yesterday and I'm not too far from you!! Needed the rain real bad.
Hey Doc, awesome videos. Hopefully you can help with this - I planted bermuda seed in a new construction home on clay soil (I planted in April). I tilled the soil with manure/compost and added plenty of starter fertilizer. I let the seed grow to >5 inches so I can make sure all the seeds were full grown. I've slowly been taking it down to a target of 1.5" and it is sitting at 2.5" inches now. I have a lot of thin yellow spots throughout the lawn. I'm guessing it's because I let the grass grow super tall, but I worry it's something else. Do you know if it's yellow because I let it grow too tall, or is it a fungus/grub? I live in Arizona, so the heat will always be a factor. Hope to hear from you.
Generally yes... when you cut WAY DOWN you'll have those spots.
at least you got .1 I got nothing in Louisiana, Thunderstorm blew over
Hi Doc! Your sleep is more important than the debate. It will be on news outlets tomorrow and probably through the weekend.
3:27 doc… you should place that gauge in the middle of a field so it doesn’t get altered by the wood post next to it… much more accurate! Buy u-do-u…
Wait. I just thought of something. Didn't you say you were "retired" You're one of the hardest working retirees I know.
Cutting grass and farm work definitely sounds better than the “Debates”.
I'm so exhausted too. And we didn't get a drop of rain from this last weather front. it is so dry here.
Doc it's in the upper 90s near 100 here and lve got a splurge infestation is it too hot to treat it and if not what should l use
If you are talking about a weed infestation you could use a little paint brush to apply if its too hot.
This is amazing. Thank you Doc!
Good video but to call a Reolink the best sec. camera on the market is a bit of a stretch...
You named one chicken John 😂
Exactly what came to my head when he mentioned “I don’t name them” 😂
Gotta name the one gray bird....
Scrambled eggs for chickens?? Isn't that cannibalism? LOL
😂😂
What came first the eggs or the chicks?😂
Good stuff, thanks Doc!
Canabalistic chickens - eating scrambled eggs, with spinach, of course! Too funny!
You were calling your dogs the girls and now you’re calling the chicks the girls?
Scrambled eggs to chicks…that’s gangsta
You need to get Solar cameras
They are solar.
I have a question since I have recently purchased a used Dr Tow behind, because of weight of unit. how have you found best way to change mower blades? Thank you. blades on unit
We have not changed ours. We have plastic ramps if needed.
Does this drain to the outside?
Yes has a pump
Doc, here in southern Pa it’s been very dry. Finally got rain last night from the storms moving in. Any recommendations how to eliminate voles from damaging the lawn? They have been chewing up the lawn constantly. I have it short and tried many products but it don’t seem to work. Plus with the dog I don’t wanna use the poison stuff.
I heard you say, this window unit has a pump on it, that pumps condensation out. Does that mean it doesn’t cause a lot of humidity in the house? I have 1 regular window unit & 2 portable a/c units. They cause it to be a little too humid in the house. I need something that cuts down on the humidity. Will the U shaped window unit do that?
I trust you Doc, therefore this is as good as bought. Every product you've reviewed prior has been a winner. When I'm interested in a product I check here first to see if you've reviewed it.
I've noticed my neighbours patch of grass 4 by 4 he had small thin leafed grass he used to get out there everyday fertiliser and trimming it with scissors. He spent so much time on his grass it seemed weird. My grass only 1.5 meters away I don't care about no fertiliser it gets mowed once a month it's always green never any brown patches but it is wide leafed tough grass called buffalo. He ripped up his patch due to grubs. Mine no change! Could it be the type of grass that's the problem???
Nice, but can not do what you are doing (putting out food) due to CWD.
What about mixing perennial rye and tall fescue??
Those fly traps smell like puke. I'd rather have the flies.
My dad bought compost from a farmer. Put it on the lawn. Next year we had 1000 watermelons. Be careful with compost that has seeds. Tomatoes may be great but not 1000 of them.
It is probably slightly flammable refrigerant
Everything looks amazing. Thanks Doc!
If you have vinyl siding on your house, the exterior supports such as with this air conditioner will likely cause the vinyl siding to deform and eventually crack.
Doc, i'm totally serious, we need a live streaming chicken cam on the inside of your coop during the day.
great information! Thank you!
Not related to your current video, but I am going to follow your Bermuda lawn schedule and I was curious about the settings for a commercial Lesco walk behind spreader? Also, for your second pre-emergent treatment in the spring what type of liquid do you use because I only see the granular product. Thanks!
Thanks Doc !!
100 here in Clover SC today Doc
I can't wait for the fried chicken 🍗 video. Thanks for the information Doc. 👍🏻
Hey doc thx for your awesome vids. Can we continue to use pfg during the hot summer months in Texas or do I switch to dirt booster n DGL
Can I install this unit on a vertical window?
